The RUW! collective is presenting the ninth edition of their artists magazine.
Issue #9
The number 9 has many meanings. In history, mathematics,
literature, mythology, music etc.
It stands for perfection or is just an upside down six.
Last but not least, this is our ninth magazine.
Additionally each participant will present one further work.
"RUW! - The artist magazine from Berlin
an initiative of the Dutch artist and printmaker Hans Könings and the Berlin photographer and architect Thomas Hillig, was founded in 2013. The German word "rau" translates as "ruw" in Dutch and is not only the title but also stands for content and form. Limited edition graphic artist books and magazines are usually do-it-yourself works produced in small and very small editions and distributed through insider channels. The collective consists of artist friends from a wide variety of art media who dedicate themselves to a theme once a year: curious, unadorned, raw, playful, lustful. The participating artists constitute a kind of open collective into which new artists are admitted, while others pause on a voluntary basis."
