B-LA-M Festival Presents ‘The Hub’: An Ephemeral Space Bringing Together Art Projects from Berlin, Los Angeles, and Mexico City. MEXICO CITY – As part of the B-LA-M Festival, ‘El Hub MX,’ an independent art and creative space curated by artists and curators, is presented through an innovative four-day intervention in a building in the city. This unique project will serve as a platform for other art spaces and collectives in Berlin, Los Angeles, and Mexico City that, due to various circumstances, are temporarily without exhibition venues. ‘El Hub MX’ emerges as a creative response to a common problem in the independent art sector: the precariousness of spaces. Factors such as contract terminations, property sales, rising rents, or unforeseen circumstances often force projects to pause, relocate, or even disappear. This event celebrates resilience and collaboration, giving them a new temporary home. For four days, the building will host more than 15 participating collectives with works of various formats. The program will be enriched by special curation by the festival coordinators: Carl Baratta, Daniel Wieselfeld, Max Presneil, and Laura Reséndiz. In addition, the third floor will be dedicated to a selection of invited artists who will exhibit a curated selection of sculpture, object art, and artist books, expanding the creative dialogue of the event. 'The Hub' is an invitation to explore the strength of the artistic community and discover cutting-edge proposals that persist and reinvent themselves in the face of adversity.
